About a week ago, I picked up this little kitten from the stalls beside my house. It was just the teeniest little thing, couldn't have been more than a month old. I had been completely torn over the subject for the longest time, and finally after a little nudging by one of the guys sitting there, I just sucked in my gut, picked it up and brought it home.

I washed it with anti-flea shampoo (that doesn't work but that's besides the point) and wiped it with a towel before feeding it and putting it in a small cage where it stayed for the whole night without moving an inch. The poor baby.

It, I think was a he, (we called him Tiny Whiny for the little time he was here), died sometime last night. He had already been unhealthy the day and had been having some sort of diarrhea since the first time he got him, which is odd because he gave him de-worming medicine, food and all. But I suppose it was just because he was just so small, probably seperated from his mother at an earlier age. He was really skinny which was expected really.

But I'd like to think that I did something good. At least the short time he'd spent here had been good. He had a nice, warm place to sleep, enough food and love and care and a name. It still a bit sad. I'll miss him and his grating whine.

Rest in Peace, Tiny. We'll miss you. Have fun up there with Sushi and Chiko and Chimmy and everyone.

 

After the horror that was November, my house was completely barren sans 4 cats; Eyes, Piggo, Pretty and Jack. Then Jack had a near accident while my dad was reversing, but good thing he turned out okay. Then we adopted two kittens that had been abandoned at a restaurant across the read. There was three, but the person who runs the restaurant took one and named her Alia. Ours we'd named Sushi, the male and smallest one (also my most adorable baby) and the other started out being called Agro, in honour of Steve Irwin, but ended up being called Onigiri (or Oni for short). Her full name then became Oni 'Agro' Jabroni x3

There were also two stray kittens around that I'd taken to the vet because they had...I'm not sure what it's called in English. In malay it's called 'kurap'. Before that, there was one cat, she was about the same size as Eyes who had the same thing but 100 times worse. So I took them (at different times) and got them injected. So some days ago and went and picked them up, feeling somewhat anxious as to what my dad would say when we came back with a car full of cats. But he took it surprisingly well. I guess it was because he'd got what he wanted the night before. The three of them went on to be named Yuki, Kyo and Momiji.

But suddenly yesterday, I came back from work and took my dad to see his Mini that was being repainted. Sushi was acting a little odd, my parents said. Normally when you roll him onto his back, he stays like that and lets you rub his stomach. Such a cutie. But when we got back from the garage, my mom said that he'd suddenly died. It was sudden and shocking and not I'm feeling very sad.

Also, I have two cats that live somewhere around my office, Budu and Belacan a.k.a. Bell (they're girlfriend and boyfriend), that I refer to as My Beggars. I mean, I fed them three times a day, sometimes I'd play a little with them. But last Tuesday I came to work I didn't see them anywhere. I continued not to see them for more days after that. Someone said that a little girl had been seen playing with Bell, and I don't know where they are now. Budu was here this morning when I arrived, so that's a bit of a relief, especially after yesterday.

But I now wait for Bell and I mourn for Sushi.
